How to Create Your Virtual Event Lounge
Note: This feature is available for enterprise clients only.
To create your virtual event lounge, start from your event channel and click Create New Webinar. This button is located on the top right corner of any page on BigMarker.
In the settings that follow, give your lounge a name and date (the duration of the "event" is irrelevant, as it will run for the duration of the event regardless), then select a format. Choose Lounge.
You'll be redirected to the attendee view of your lounge. In the left hand editor, you can customize and design the lounge's appearance and branding, then add chat rooms. To adjust its settings, click Manage in the top right corner of your page.
Creating Chat Rooms
To create a new chat room in your lounge, select Sessions in the left-hand menu. Click Add Session.
Each individual chat room will be created as its own live webinar within BigMarker. To create a session, click Create a Webinar, then create a live webinar with the desired name of your chat room.
For example, if I wanted to create a chat room named How to Level Up Your Training, I would create a live webinar with that name, give it the same start date and time as the event, then click Create Webinar.
(Note: You will be prompted to create a landing page, but because this webinar will only appear as a chat room to attendees, feel free to disregard this section and save.)
Return to your lounge's landing page, select the Sessions tab in the left hand menu, then Add Sessions. Click Webinar. The name of your newly created webinar (i.e., your desired chat room) will appear in the dropdown that appears. Click that name and it will populate in the title text box that follows. Give it a sub title, description and image if desired, then press Save.
Your new chat room will then appear within the lounge.
