If you want to host events in a language other than English, you will need to change your language settings in two places on the BigMarker platform.
First, you'll change your event language—the language displayed on your event channel and its content—on your BigMarker homepage. However, language changes applied on your homepage do not apply to display text within individual webinars.
That is, when you change the event language on your BigMarker homepage from English to Spanish, all webinars hosted by your channel will be titled in Spanish. But within the webinar room, tabs and display text will still show in English.
However, you can change and customize the language of the display text your attendees will see in the webinar room in Channel Settings, which we'll describe further below.
How to change your event language
To change your event language, log into your BigMarker account, then scroll down. On the left-hand menu is a dropdown menu with your display language options. Choose your preferred language among these choices.
Once you select your new language, all menu choices and text on your channel, and all of the content hosted by your channel, will be displayed in the new language, as seen below. However, the attendee view of that same content will still be in English. However, you can change the display text for attendees in Channel Settings.
How to change the language of display text for attendees
Log into your BigMarker account. in the left-hand menu, select the BigMarker channel that is hosting the session for which you are making changes.
From here, you'll proceed to your channel homepage. Click the three horizontal bars on the far right side of the screen, then select Settings in the dropdown that appears.
Select the Language tab.
The Language tab contains common display text that is visible to attendees within the webinar room, and the option to change the language of this text.
Change the preferred display language in the dropdown menu on the right-hand side of the screen. Once you've selected your new language, all of the display text listed below will automatically convert to that language. If you'd like to edit any of the translated display text, you can do so by manually entering alternative copy in the respective text box. Once you're done, click save to complete.
